Since I was in middle school have considered a
career in health care as one of my goals. As I have grown and developed I want
to further my knowledge in the medical field as well as getting some hands on
experience. I will be volunteering in a hospital for a week to two weeks as
well as in a non-profit health center for people with out insurance. This will
give me a chance to see both sides of the medical field. Lack of health care is
discussed in the news everyday, it’s a great Good Samaritan mission is to
reduce the health care gap that exists in Metro Atlanta. They serve anyone from
anywhere no matter their history background, lifestyle, or beliefs. This
organization helps thousands of individuals a year gain access to the health
care they need. While hospitals are on the different end of this spectrum,
although it is illegal to withhold care, severing people with out health issuance
creates a problem for hospitals all around the world. Hopefully, being at both
of these facilities will allow me to see all that the medical field has to
offer and allow me to get a better understanding of what medical professionals
are doing. Both of these opportunities will also allow me to get some hand on experiences
and to reassure that this is the career choice that I want to make with the
rest of my life
